Community Engagement

Our community engagement projects involve the development and creation of groups, workshops and training that community members and volunteers can access to either socialise with others in the community, learn new skills through our voluntary and training opportunities, access CV and career guidance and encourage our children and young people to take an active role in learning and planning for their future as well as being involved in community events.


Computer Training

CV Skills & Mentoring

Mentoring/CV Skills – We offer employment support to people of all ages. These sessions can be arranged at a time that suits you!

Rosewell Rainbows & Brownies

Rosewell Rainbows and Brownies meet on a Monday night in the Rosewell Parish Church Hall. For information/to register:


Chatter & Clatter

A creative and engaging group for families with children under five. The group runs throughout the year between 10:30 – 12:00 noon on a Friday morning in the Rosewell Resource Centre. For information/to register:


Cubs | Beavers | Scouts

Meets every Tuesday evening at St. Matthew’s Church Hall. For information/to register:


Kid World Citizen

First of it’s kind for Scotland. An intergenerational group for children, young people and adults to come together learn about their community and do good things for others! Runs on a Friday afternoon during term time. For information/to register:


RASCALS Arts & Crafts

A fun art group for Primary School children which runs on a Thursday after School. For information/to register:



Woodlands Projects

We deliver these projects for local children, families and adult volunteers throughout the year. We’re currently working on a project that has been supported by The Daisy Chain Trust, Postcode Local Trust and Clydesdale Bank. Which will see us delivering woodland projects throughout the year! Watch this space!

Keep Rosewell Beautiful

Our monthly Litter Picking Group meets once a month on a Saturday morning. Check our calendar for any upcoming events.

Rosewell Growing Group

Meets on a Wednesday and covers four key sites within the village. The group involves children, young people and adults all working together to learn and develop their outdoor skills. Email us to find out more or head to our calendar.

Rosewell Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group

More volunteers are needed for this development group in the Rosewell community. Over the past 18 months, the group of local volunteers have been supported by RDT and Midlothian Council to develop a comprehensive short-term and long-term plan for the local community. The group meets once every month for a few hours and often focuses on the development of the Action Plan for Rosewell and the annual Calendar. 

Rosewell History Group

This group is open to everybody regardless of whether you have lived in Rosewell for your whole life or for 5 years! The group runs every two months – have a look on our interactive ‘What’s on Calendar’ to find out about upcoming meetings.

Click and Connect Computer Club

Michelle and our volunteers deliver this weekly group to help YOU with all things technological! Drop in on a Wednesday at the Rosewell Resource Centre between 13:30 – 15:-00 to access FREE, personalised I.T support.

Rosewell Lunch Club

This Club runs throughout term time on a Tuesday and Thursday between 12noon – 13:00. Meals costs £2.10 for two courses. For information/to register:


Rosewell & District Community Council

Rosewell & District Community Council hold 7 Meetings per year in Rosewell Parish Church Hall. All meetings are held on Monday evenings and begin at 7pm.  For meeting dates and minutes head to:
